Abstract:During construction of the major dam of a reservoir, a new construction technique was adopted by using the micro-expansive concrete with MgO mixed outside, in which the heat due to hydration was reduced. The temperature supervision was enhanced and the engineering quality was guaranteed, therefore better economic benefits were obtained. The paper introduces briefly the study on the situations of temperature raising for the micro-expansive a concrete with Mgo mixed outside.
