Abstract：In thi s paper, through the sta tistics of eluvial soi l load test result s, i t is concluded that w e hav e not o nly to co nsider the ef fects of soil defo rmation but also to co nsider the effect s of soil st reng th in the determina tio n of eluv ial soil standa rd bearing capacity. In the fo rmulation of the g round reliabili ty standard, it remains to be improv ed that the eluvial soi l sta nda rd bearing capaci ty is determined only by o ne modulus of compressibility. The determining method i s also presented.
