Abstract Plastic deformation pressure is the pressure caused by changing the status of rock from elasticity into plasticity. This paper describes the calculation formula of plastic deformation pressure, demonstrates the calculation method based on the example, presents the necessity of prevention measures for elastic deformation pressure，and finally proposes the suggestions to the safety.
