Abstract The structure of double-hinged arch tunnel is adopted in Dongzhimen section on Beijing urban transit, for which the shallow buried subsurface excavation method was adopted in order to under cross two high-rise buildings with shaoolw foundation in water riching and loosening formation. This paper describes the used technical methods for treating the formation related to the structure, tunnel construction and existing buildings and also describes the prevention technique for high-rise buildings and monitoring works in construction, for reference to future similar works.
