Research conclusions: (1)The storey-adding of the existing railway station is different from the reconstruction of civil architecture because the station operation，construction period and construction cost should be considered.(2)The reliability and seismic capacity of the existing building structure should be evaluated. According to the evaluation results，the reasonable service life and the standard for seismic design should be selected for determining the storey- adding scheme.(3)The seismic evaluation and reinforcement of the existing structure are crucial to the design and design study. ( 4)The scheme of building new structures was chosen and it avoided the large seismic reinforcement of the overhead structure and ensured the feasibility of the storey-adding project.
