Abstract:Research purposes: Ground movement easily occurs in the construction process of shielding tunnel, resulting in disturbing the surrounding buildings and pipelines, so it is significant for accurate predicting the ground settlement induced by shield construction of Wuhan Yangtze River tunnel to protect the surrounding buildings and pipelines.
Research conclusions:The result indicates that ground settlement would not change largely in the area of 40 meters behind the cutting face along the tunnel axial, and when the ground loss rate is less than 2. 0%,ground settlement induced by soil plastic deformation is of small percentage to the total settlement value.
