Abstract:Research purposes: The purpose is to discusses the issues on how to effectively reduce the bridge span and avoid the negation impact of the skew beam on the railway traffic for providing the reference to the similar works in future.
Research conclusions: The design and application of orthogonal continuous beam along with skew pier in Cihuaixinhe Double—track Bridge to cross the Cihuaixin River show that the stress level in the lateral area pallet under the pad stone is biggerr than other areas because of orthogonal layout of pad stone,and when the size of the pad stone exceeds the pier size is controlled in a certain range,the stress level of the tray can be controlled in the specification allowable value.Using skew is a good solution when the oblique crossing is needed over road and river because of the limitation of railway alignment.
