Abstract:Research purposes:It is very difficult to do the construction organization work for construction of the turn-back track from Jinsong Station to the terminal station of Line 8 of Beijing metro due to the manifold styles of structures, unfavorable engineering and hydraulic geological conditions, many ground buildings and underground pipelines. In this paper, the analyses of key points and difficult points in construction of the track are made and the solutions are presented to the technical problems in design and construction of the turn-back track of metro in the area of the Quaternary stratum.
Research conclusions: If the metro is built in the area of the Quaternary stratum, the attention should be paid to solving the difference of cross-sections, reducing the transitions, pre-reinforcing the soil mass in the middle part and taking the different measures for protection of the buildings in design. The radiation well should be used along with draining water in tunnel for draining water if there is no condition for building pipe well on ground. At the same time, the construction should be conducted according to the construction procedure for shallow tunnel for overcoming the technical problems in construction and assuring the construction quality.
