Abstract:Research purposes: In order to satisfy the demand of seismic design of continuous girder bridge stipulated in the”Seismic Design Code for Railway Engineering”,based on one calculation example,this paper makes elastic seismic response analysis under frequent earthquakes and elastio—plastic analysis under severe earthquakes for a railway continuous girder bridge(main span:48:80:48 m)and evaluates the seismic behavior of the continuous girder bridge in strength,ductility and shear resistance.
Research conclusions: The checking calculation methods for the strength and stability of the continuous girder bridge under frequent earthquakes and the ductility of the continuous girder bridge severe earthquakes are proposed,which cover the shortage of the Code and provide the theoretical basis for the seismic design and evaluation of the seismic property of the continuous girder bridge.
