Abstract：This article concentrates the practice of the type-selection of the TBM according to the actual engineering condi- tion and adhereing to the general feature and demand of the subway project in Guangdong. This is the first time that the ma- chine manufactured by WIRTH-NFM enters the subway project in China. In addition, this article introduces the operative feature of the EPB designed specially for the subway project in Guang Zhou.
