Abstract:Research purposes:To improve the urban rail transit system’s capacity utilization,and meet the demand of a variety of passenger flow, the express/slow train organization mode was researched in our country. Because the urban rail transit is mainly used to solve the problem of urban traffic demand,in view of the characteristics of the main line of underground,complex engineering and highly cost,the national railway mode could not be copied. We should study to form a set of perfect express/slow train organization design theory system,which is presented in this paper.
Research conclusions ; Through the study on express and slow train running organization mode system,the conclusions are drawn that in the design stage the study should be made on determination of system capacity loss,determination method of express train station,determination method of overtaking point,comparison of overtaking stationsidings design and overtaking scheme evaluation method. The study results can be used as design basis organizing express train and slow train mixed operation in the metro engineering and also provide the theoretical reference for organizing the express and slow mixed operation using existing facilities in the operation stage of the existing line.
