Abstract：At the present time, the members of the European Union are 15 countries, such as Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Italy, etc. The paper introduces the general situations of the labor standards of the European Union and the principles of the labor legislation. The main contents of the labor standards system of the European Union are described in detail according to 8 classifications. At the same time, combined with situations of our country, several problems existing in construction national labor legal system at present time are expounded, and the corresponding measures which should be adopted are proposed by taking the experiences of European Union as reference.
