Abstract：The drilling occlusive piles were used as protecting structure in the cut and cover tunnelling section of Exhibition Center Station-Purchase Park Station district for the first-stage engineering project of Shenzhen Metro. Following aspects concerned with the drilling occlusive piles are described in detail in this paper, such as the comparison and selection for its construction schemes, the procedure of the construction works, the key technologies in its construction, conditions for its application, the economic and environmental effects, etc.
