Abstract：The high-speed railways bring enormous economy benefit，but at the same time railway noise is increasing. With the building of the high-speed railways and the improvement of the speed on the other main railways，the problem of noise is standing out. The railway noise problem has become one of the problems that our country has to research and resolve. From September 1998 to August 1999，the author of this paper had researched for a year in Japan Railway Technology Research Institute as a visit scholar. During that time I participated in real car test and special topic research on Japan Shinkansen high-speed passenger car noise. This paper analyzes the mechanism of the rolling noise and puts forward the ways to reduce noise.
