Abstract：Based on the present situation of Xi′an Terminal and the analysis on its existing main problems, the key factor which influence the composite capacity of Xi′an Terminal is illustrated as follows;how to solve perfectly the problem concerned with passenger cars? As the Xi′an-Ankang Railway and the Xi′an -Nanjing Railway will be connected into Xi′an Terminal, two conceptions for raising the composite capacity of Xi’an Terminal are proposed and analyzed. And then,as the key measure for enhancing the composite capacity of Xi′an Terminal.a conclusion on constructing a new Xi'an South Station and reconstructing the Xinfeng Marshalling Station has been obtained.
