Abstract：The slab-column structure without column-cap which is a new-type of building structure has not been used usually in engineering practice,especially rarely applied in earthquake regions. Based on the loading analyses from two aspects: the system of slab-column structure and the connection between slah and column, the paper expounds in detail the structural calculation of this kind of structure, the essentails of Its reinfocing design and the principle of design for strengthening the connecting joins. The applications of this kind of structure in earthquake region are discussed emphatically, and it has been applied in engineering practice will good technical and economic benefits.
