Abstract：Combined with the particular practical situation at the Ganzhou-Longchuan Sec 1 ion of the jing-Jiu Railway, the paper introduces two practical examples which created grand benefits by flexibly applying the design code. The two examples are： (1)selcction of the minimum curve radius used in the Ganzhou-Longchuan Station, and(2)selection of the gradient of station yard for Xiaojiang Stadon. These examples illustrate the meaning of flexible application of the design code.
