Abstract：Based on the author s investigations and researches deeply for many years on the causes of river bank failure occurred at roadbed of Wai-Fu Railw ay along the Minjiang River in the Shuikou reservoir region with his firsthand full and accurate informations, those causes of formation are analyzed in this paper, and the particular protective countermeasures are proposed for the roadbed of railway along the river in the reservoir region.
