Abstract：The paper analyzes the causes for the formation of unstability of catenary on transition curves in the Jng~Qin Railway. Based on the analyses on the plane layout of catenary's supportings on the transition curves and the loading situation of the positioning system，the countermeasures for improving and strengthening the stability of catenary are proposed.
