Abstract：In traditional surveyings，there are usually the deviation angle way，the offset way,the polar coordinate way，etc, to survey the spiral. According to the shortcomings of the above-mentioned ways，the writer start with the special spiral of Long-Yao Interchange Ramp of the No. 107 national highway (irregular spiral and no datum points) with combine the using SOKKIA SET2C— 2 Intelligent Total Station (which can directly lay out the point from the coordinate) with and the SHARP pocket computer PC—E500. On the basis of the theory of the deviation angle way，the writer go a step further to inquire into the new survey?ing way of the spiral.
