Abstract：In this paper, the basic principle, working process and application technique of the high density resistivity method have been discussed. According to the characteristics of the geological structure of the railway bed, a new measurement scheme of the high density resistivity and its data processing-plotting software system are developed. Results of the fi?nite element numerical modelling and the field test for typical geological diseases of the rail?way bed show that the new method is a precise, effective and convenient technique in detect?ing geological diseases of the railway bed.
