Abstract：A curve-Iayout is usually made by polar coordinates method with optical ranging on surveyor s table placed at arbitrary point in field. The errors produced by this method are ana?lyzed in detail in this paper. Meanwhile，the author suggests the best means in which the survey?ing-station is inspected from the control point, the maximum length of measuring line on the sur- veying-station and a series of prblems that should be paid attention to the curve-lay out works.
