Abstract:During a discuss-meeting on the feasibility of the bridge-building machines con?vened by the Ministry of Railway 9 it was concluded that the design and manufacture works of a bridge-building machine used for medium-span(32 — 64m> PC girders should be accom?plished in 1994 and the PC girder technique should be developed in the Eighth Five-Year Plan period. The PC girder technique takes the bridge-building machine as a core * promotes the renewal of bridge structure by engineering and manufacturing technique, and improves the designs of the girder structures, the abutments and piers. Based on the engineering-techno?logical characteristics of building bridges by the bridge-builcling machines, this paper sug?gests several structure forms of PC girders which are used with the bridge-building machine as a complete set.
