Abstract:Research purposes: The Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway Corridor is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway main corridor. Currently, it is faced with the situation of tight capacity, low transportation quality, unbalanced coverage, and weak support, which cannot meet the needs of for high-quality travel. In accordance with the general idea of "systematic planning, overall coordination, and step-by-step implementation", the role and division of labor of each line of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway Corridor shall be studied in a systematic way, and the overall coordination of the regional road network and the smooth connection of relevant corridors shall be the goal. The analysis and research are carried out from various aspects such as corridor demand, road network function, and the key issues are studied such as the planning pattern, function orientation and division of labor, construction scheme and sequence, main technical standards and freight system in the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway Corridor. Research conclusions:(1)The 10-line pattern of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway Corridor planning is appropriate.(2)In the initial planning, the newly built Shanghai-Zhapu-Hangzhou Railway will mainly undertake the passenger flow of Shanghai Pudong, Jiaxing and Hangzhou and beyond, and take into account part of the passenger flow in Puxi; The newly built Shanghai-Hangzhou Intercity Railway mainly undertakes the intercity passenger flow between Puxi, Jiaxing and Hangzhou, taking into account some middle and long-distance passenger flow.(3)The speed target value of the Shanghai-Zhapu-Hangzhou Railway should be 350 km/h, and the speed target value of the Shanghai-Hangzhou Intercity Railway should be 350 km/h, and the condition of the line to increase the speed to 400 km/h is reserved.(4)Overall consideration should be given to the integrated development of passenger transport, freight transport and rail networks at different levels, to create a series of comprehensive transportation hubs and to guide the integrated development of urban agglomerations.(5)The research thinking and results can be used for reference in the study of similar railway corridors in China.
