Abstract:Abstract:Research purposes:The karst geological disaster is the important controlling factor in geological route selection of tunnel group through Wuling mountain on Qianjiang-Zhangjiajie-Changde Railway. This paper took tunnel group project of Qianjiang-Zhangjiajie-Changde Railway as an example, determined a relatively reasonable route solution for tunnel group through Wuling mountain by comparing and analyzing different solutions from karst disaster, project risk, setting conditions, investment, etc.
Research conclusions:We have proposed three solutions for tunnel group through Wuling mountain on Qianjiang-Zhangjiajie-Changde Railway: south solution (D14K), middle solution (DK) and north solution (D12K). Through comparing and analysis, we have made the following conclusions: (1) D12K could be relatively less damaged by karst disaster and the project risk is lower. (2) In view of the project setting condition, the three engineering setting conditions are similar. (3) In view of the project investment, the costs of DK and D12K are 26.362 million and 56.863 million CNY higher than D14K respectively. However, the solution of D14K could be seriously damaged by karst disaster and the project risk is higher. (4) A shorter tunnel group through Wuling mountain could be designed by the north solution (D12K) and project setting is modest. Although the investment is slightly higher, such solution could be less damaged by karst disaster and the project risk is lower. As a result, such solution (D12K) is the best solution. (5) The research could provide a reference for optimizing tunnel geological route selection in karst region in the future, to reduce project investment and risk, ensure project security.
