Abstract:Research purposes:The substation of the Qinhuangdao - Shenyang Passenger Dedicated Line is a substation with the single phase transformer wiring form and its outlet phase splitting only has the partition function. After expansion of the capacity of the transformer,the wiring form was changed into the VX junction,and the existing phase splitting can not meet the demand of running the double EMUS . In order to meet the technical demand of running the double EMUs,it is necessary to do the research on upgrading of the anchor articulated phase splitting of Sanhaiguan Substation for 11 span catenary of the Qinhuangdao - Shenyang Railway.
Research conclusions:To reduce the interference on the transportation and the work volume,it is recommended to increase insulation and substitute four insulation joints for some five span insulation joints to make the length of the zone without power longer than 220m for meeting the demand of running the double EMUs. The solution is also presented on upgrading of the outlet phase splitting of the single phase wiring form transformer in order to enhance the operation reliablity.
