Abstract：Research purposes: The second phase project of Line 4 of Wuhan rail transit passes through downtown area of Wuhan city，and it interchanges with many metro lines． During the construction，the rail transit project should be coordinated with many planned or under － construction municipial projects because several downtown areas are under development． Through introducing the programs of the transfer stations of the second phase of Line 4 of Wuhan rail transit，this paper discusses the control factors and design process of the various transfer stations，and coordination with the manicipal projects． Starting with the project implementation and the convenience of passenger interchange，and at same time consideration of demands of city development planning，this paper also offers the clear thought on the transfer station design．
Research conclusions: ( 1) Besides satisifing the interchange needs of tranportaion，the metro transfer stations should be designed with the design and construction of the relevent municipal projects at the same time，and coordinated with urban development． ( 2) The under － construction urban areas can make use of the opportunity of metro constructionto to improve the urban underground space construction to make the regional transportation organization better．
