Research methods: This paper analyzes the skew frame with 2D rigid frame and 3D space model of thick plate element with MIDAS Civil structure design system，and their results have been contrasted with comparison method.
Research results: The analysis process of frame bridge with skew angle has been given by use of MIDAS. We obtained the outcomes from two models and the difference between results with 2D rigid frame and 3 D space model of thick plate element.
Research Conclusions: It is analyzed necessarily with 3D model for frame bridge of small skew angle to direct its design. MIDAS Civil structure design system is used easily and results from it reflect the 3D skew frame mechanical behavior to direct its design.
