Abstract The construction technique of prestressed anchor rod has been applied widely in railway engineering in recent years. Based on analysis of effective mechanism of anchor rod on reinforcing various soil, this paper gives an introduction to construction technique of prestressed anchor rod and its precautions in construction in combination with the construction practice in section between Longchuang-Dongwan on double-line of Beijing- Kowloon, sums up the experience of construction, for reference to similar construction.
