Abstract This paper reviews the design of Qiaokoulu Traffic Yard, the car maintenance base, in phase one works of No. 1 line of Wuhan urban rail transit, analyzes the difficult points and different points in design from that in design of conventional car depot, puts forward the basic way for construction of car maintenance base based on experience in this design.
