Abstract Yuanliang mountain tunnel is the longest tunnel in Yuhuai railway-line. Passing through high tension and richness water area，the construction of the tunnel is full of difficulties. It is intituled as the "forbidden zone of tunnel design and construction in China". The text introduces the geology advance forecast，advance grouting reinforce and timbering, grouting effect check-up and the construction process in cavity section PDK354+255~+275 of the tunnel. It offers reference for the similar projects in the future.
