Abstract The electric locomotives receive electric current from catenary through pantograph，it is a dynamic process. The mechanical vibration and the dynamics effects exist between the catenary and the pantograph. The multi-pantograph current collection is a kind of mechanical vibration with multi-movable vibration sources ,and these vibration sources together with the catenary compose a complex vibration system. Through analysis and computer simulation researches，several conclusions concerned with the characteristics of the multi-pantograph current collection has been obtained.
