Abstract In this paper，aimed at the issue of the value of amplitude in vibration test for railway bridge，a theoretic analysis and an example discussion about how to identify the aberrance of wave form and how to choose a proper amplitude analytic method are carried through. The fitting conditions of diversified analytical methods of the value of amplitude are discussed. An advice to the application of these frontier methods is set forth.
