Abstract Through qualitative and quantitative analysis on quality defects of many newly-built tunnels in railways，this article not only rationally decides on renovation measures，but also conducts scientific designs. Moreover，it also puts forward relevant prevention suggestions from the standpoint of tunnel design and construction.
