Abstract The current situation of subway engineering cost and the general principles for controlling the engineering cost arc analyzed. The controls of sectional engineering costs according to the constructing procedure of the project are discussed emphatically. Combined with the technical, economic and other methods, the reasonable determination and control of engineering cost for urban rapid rail transit are analyzed synthetically also in this paper.
