Abstract The schemes for treating the large-scale landslide in the long-span tunnel lay on the treatment of subsided pit at first. The side slopes of subsided pit are stabilized by grouting concrete reinforced with meshwork. Then, by deep-hole grouting several times, the funnel-typed porous soil during subsidence may be strengthened and stabilized. During construction inside of the tunnel, the advance auxiliary tunneling method with small ducts was used through the twin-side headings for excavation. The primary supports should be put forward after excavation immediately, and constructing the secondary lining immediately behind the primary supports. The practices show that the above schemes are scientific.
