Abstract The experiences are accumulated for raising speed during operation of the newly-built railway through the following construction technologies and basic countermeasures; raising the roadbed compaction coefficient, controlling strictly the roadbed subsidence, increasing the upside track stability, raising the compaction speed of locomotive, implementation of operation speed to 60 km/h for the newly-built railway, recovering the normal speed operation in short period, etc.
