Abstract Combined with the construction of the Qinling Tunnel and the Tatpingyi Head Drift in Sichuan Province, the author puts forward the systematical analysis and research on the mechanism, conditions，forecast and preventive methods for the rock burst occurred during the construction works. A series of effective solving measures are proposed. They may be applied effectively and useful as reference.
