Abstract The design of high speed railway is a kind of high synthetic systems engineering. Nowadays，the preliminary design of Jing-Hu Railway has been accomplished，and there are a lot of problems which should be further studied and solved. Based on the study on the pre-station design techniques of the Jing-Hu high speed railway，the paper proposes the specialties and existing essential problems which are adaptive with the design of track，bridge，tunnel，station, etc，for the high speed railway in China,and several suggestions for the next stage studies on Chinese high speed railway are also proposed.
