Abstract The paper introduces a calculating method of transverse overturning stability of beams concerning the deformation of neoprene bearings. Transverse overturning stabilities of low -depth concrete griders using neoprene bearings are calculated and compared with standard design. The results show that the transverse overturning stability of beams is lowered by the deformation of neoprene bearing.
