Abstract The calculatio n of prestress loss, ex tension amount a nd equi-ef fect loading for th e reinforcing bars in the prest ressed co ncrete f rame beam and the essentials of i ts tensi le construction a re int roduced in this paper. Meanw hi le, the testing for the tensile ex tensio n amo unt , the loss of prest ress, and the data for upper-a rch a nd compressio n of the beams, etc, are put fo rwa rd. The testing v alues are compared and analy zed also wi th the theo retical values.
