Abstract The dif ferences betw een the air-cooling uni t a nd the w ater-cooling uni t fo r ai r-conditioning ref rigeratio n schemes are a naly zed. Their adv antages a nd di sadv antages a re ex pounded. How to select dif ferent ref rigeratio n scheme acco rding to the di fferent envi ronment and the dif ferent economic co ndi tio ns are also proposed in this paper.
