Abstract From sev eral aspects such as the style o f bridg e span, ca lculating theory , ex perimenta l test , etc, the paper systema tically a naly zes the distingui shing features on the desig n o f the Nanpanjiang riv er bridg e, especially co ncerned w ith i ts V-suppo rt st ructure. The problems w hich hav e not been solv ed in present time at home and abro ad are pro posed and di scussed. It prov ides as reference for desig ning thi s kind of bridg e in future.
