Abstract By a naly zing the complex hydro logic sta te , desig ned high w ater lev el and the essential of w av es for the sea w all at Tianshui tao zi in Dalian, the sui table ty pes o f it s cross-section hav e been selected. By calculatio ns , the following measures a re determinated: the divisio n of sections w ith di fferent out side lateral railing plates, etc, the dif ferent pro tection measures fo r inner and outside slo pes , and the subg rade t rea ting and st reng thening mesaures. The desig n of hig hwa y′s embankment in the sea has been deeply discussed.
