Abstract Based on the relativ e principles o f f ragmenta tio n geometry a nd f racture mechanics, a f ragmentatio n mo del of f racture af ter blasting is pro posed. The fo recast model of fragsi ze by blasting has been established also o n these bases. The test result s are in acco rdance w ith the simulatio n result s. This fact shows that the model i s reasonable.
