Abstract The article briefly introduces the application of remote sensing technology on geo?logical surveying and construction of Nan-Kun Railway,and by actual example,illustrates the effect of applying remote sensing technology. The conclusion is that under specific condition， it is beneficial to use remote sensing technology in the railway construction stage. At the same time f it points out that in this stage，it is conditional to use the remote sensing，but shouldn’t take the method blindly.
