Abstract The paper introduces the working methods and the experiences of the construction works on track and ballast regulations by using large-type maintenance-of-way machinery (Tamping Wagon 08 —32)which was used first on the northern sections of the Baoji—Zhong- wei Railway by the China Railroad Construction General Corporation. The methods and the experiences are valuable as reference for the construction works on track and ballast regular tions before the acceptance during constructing other new railway lines.
