Abstract The paper expounds a general description of applying the aerial survey remote sens?ing technique on the Nanning — Kunming Railway，the obtained successes and experiences, and the suggestions for spreading this technique furthermore in the future, A great achievement and the benefits have been obtained, concerned with the route selection on the Nanning —Kunming Railway Line by applying the aerial survey remote sensing technique.
