Abstract Mechanism why the collapse — landslip of soft soil embankment happened at Yongfengying station of the new railway between Nanning and Kunming and the engineering measure to reinforce -the soft soil embankment are discussed，the construction method and the monitor at the scene to this work point in handling course are discussed too，and lastly 9 the author’s realizations are described in this paper.
