Abstract The long-spaced equal-differential blasting at outside of tunnel is a new blasting technique developed in recent years. The paper introduces its technologic principle,applica?tion scope，characteristics，construction technique，etc. Based on experimental examples?sev?eral specific technical idexes are suggested and the social economy benefits are analyzed. They are valuable as reference for selection and application of this new technique.
